Below are answers to Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any other questions, please contact us.

Q: How are Ribbons and Strings Ensembles different from other string ensembles?

A: Our goal is to help you create your wedding as an expression of your individual personality. Our large repertoire provides you with lots of options. Our professional musicians have devoted countless hours to developing their skills. Listen to our audio clips and judge for yourself.

Q: Why do you offer three different ensembles?

A: To offer you flexibility. You may require a special sound that only a certain ensemble can create. Or you may want to adjust for budget or space requirements. We want you to have your day your way.

Q: How do your prices compare to other ensembles.

A: Our prices are reasonable and competitive. If you choose an ensemble with lower prices, you may be disappointed with the music for your special day. We have established a reputation for providing the finest string ensembles available. Our musicians have a large repertoire and can accommodate requests to add your favorites. We have a dress rehearsal before your wedding, so nothing is left to chance. We coordinate all details during the planning stages to avoid unnecessary stress. Every visual detail of your wedding will be perfect; make the music perfect too.

Q: Can I hear you play before making a decision?

A: Yes. We provide lots of audio clips on each web page. If you have any trouble with the clips, we would be happy to send you a free CD upon request. Best of all, after you have booked us, we will schedule a showcase event, where you can hear us in person. We will demonstrate various selections that you want to hear to help you make your music decisions.

Q: What happens if a musician is unable to play at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances?

A: In addition to our core of six regulars, we work with many other top professionals in the area. We nurture our relationships carefully to ensure that they know our repertoire thoroughly and can be depended upon for a first-class performance. No matter what, your ensemble will be well-rehearsed and ready for your big day.

Q: What services does Ribbons and Strings Ensembles provide?

A: Every client enjoys all of the following:
1) Our elegant, well-rehearsed sound
2) Our huge repertoire of music in many styles
3) Your favorites, arranged for your choice of ensembles by Deb Corisis, an experienced arranger with a Master’s Degree in Arranging and Composition

Q: Do you charge for travel and/or lodging for performances outside the metro area?

A: Yes. We will provide you with a list of fees if your event is outside the Denver/Boulder metro area.

Q: What if the music is too long or too short for the portion of the wedding that the music is intended for?

A: We have the musical experience to find just the right place to stop so that the music is always perfectly timed to the events going on around us. We will never cause a delay or a rush in the proceedings.

Q: What happens if there is a last minute delay before the start of the ceremony?

A: No problem. We have the musical experience to continue playing until all is made ready.

Q: Will you need amplification?

A: Probably not. We will discuss the need for amplification with you, based on the size and acoustics of the venue.

Testimonial
“Once again this year the Razumovsky String Quartet provided the music for the Denver "Taste of Elegance". The music was exceptional! The selections they played fit the event perfectly. I host a number of events across the United States and it is always a challenge to get great music at the right volume. The quartet played great music at a perfect volume. Not overpowering, yet audible as background music for a fine dining event. They will have my first consideration for future events in Denver.”
